Vanessa Hurtado
Vanessa Hurtado is a native of Merced, California, but was born and raised into a military family that traveled abroad the U.S.  This is Vanessa's second tour in Germany, her first being in the early 90's in Karlsruhe.  A few years before coming to Germany, Vanessa graduated from Merced High School "Home of Scholars & Champions".  Vanessa continues her education by attending the University of Maryland where she plans to earn her B.A. in Arts & Communications and minor in Political Science.  Her goal right now is to someday work for her local news station. In Vanessa's spare time she enjoys traveling and shopping.  Her most missed memories are of family gatherings and cruising around her home town with her childhood friends.
